Sexbolt Saturday: A Fella’s Willy - Handle With Care

Can You Break a Penis?

CAUTION: Handle With Care

When an ER nurse I know told me a couple years back about some poor schmuck that came in with a “broken dick”, my first reaction was to crack up. It seemed preposterous. Everyone knows there’s no “bone” in “boner”, so how could that be?

The grave look on this (male) nurse’s face told me that “Hell yeah, it’s possible” and “Hell yeah, I’m glad it wasn’t me!”

See, what happens is that the shaft of the penis, which is made up of two chambers of spongy tissue called the corpora cavernosa, fills with blood in response to sexual thoughts or stimulation, causing a superb stiffy. If a man were to get a little crazy with said stiffy - like overzealously pummeling a target, then missing it, or having a partner abruptly slip off the saddle - the thick membrane surrounding the corpora cavernosa can tear, creating an audible cracking sound (gah!) This, no surprise, is followed by a quick loss of the erection, excruciating pain and bruising, and a rod that is visibly bent.

Mind you, one would have to get very, uh, aerobic, to make such a thing happen, and this type of injury is quite rare. But it is a possibility, and incurring such an injury is very serious and must be treated immediately. This is not the time to let pride take precedence. Get that broken buddy to the doctor, and stat!

Side-effects of a “broken penis” include:

  • Possible damage to the urethra, which can impede urination
  • Likeliness of surgery to repair the membrane surrounding the corpora cavernosa to restore or preserve erectile abilities
  • Quick intervention to be sure the “break” is “set” sooner rather than later to prevent mishapenness

So if you and your lover pride yourselves in your bedroom athleticism, great. Just be sure that when Willy comes out, he’s handled with care and respect.
