The Mysterious Case of the Boy Who Was Allergic to Every Food
Next time the kids complain about leftovers, you might want to tell them about the little boy who is allergic to almost every food in existence.

Tylor Savage can only eat chicken, tuna, potatoes, carrots, apples, and grapes - and that’s more variety than he could handle even a year ago. The twelve-year-old boy began experiencing violently painful reactions to food at the age of four. Over the years, the symptoms grew worse and doctors were left shaking their heads. (They even removed his appendix in a desperate attempt to resolve his plight.)
By the age of 10, Tylor was so frail and sick, he only managed to attend two weeks of school the entire year. Everything he ate made him terribly ill. He was dangerously underweight and his parents were beside themselves trying to cure him. Finally, in 2006, doctors finally discovered that Tylor was suffering from eosinophilic enteropathy, a rare disease that causes the intestines to produce too many white blood cells. These cells do not recognize food as fuel, instead attacking it as a dangerous intruder. The doctors kept Tylor on a specialized vitamin food formula for months, gradually introducing foods one by one into his system. After a year with a few safe foods and the formula, Tylor has shown remarkable progress. In fact, he’s only missed one day of school this year. Read the full story at MSNBC. This child’s amazing attitude is inspiring.
