Liquor May Get Nutrition Labels
The feds are considering requiring nutrition information to be visible on alcoholic beverages. While I don’t see this move making much of a dent in overall alcohol consumption, low-carbers might appreciate the labels. And I think it’s safe to say we’re only a few marketing executives away from vitamin-enhanced beer. If Coke can do it, why not Budweiser? (One beer brand, Stampede, already soups up its brew with vitamins, but - unlike enhanced soda - the company isn’t allowed to make any health claims. That makes sense. After all, Coke is a lot safer and healthier than beer.)
America Does Not Cause Cancer

The people most likely to believe false health information? Those who consider themselves more “informed” than the rest of us. A little knowledge is worse than none at all…

The combination of caffeine and a run make help prevent skin cancer. The murine study* suggests that the antioxidants in coffee may exert a protective benefit when coupled with moving once in a while. If you aren’t into the exercise habit, please start. Now. Exercise is the closest thing to a health panacea we’ve got (at least until the nanorobots save us). I believe physical activity may have more of an impact on long-term health than any other lifestyle factor.
