Ice, Ice, Baby
The traditional sports wisdom of taking an ice bath post-game is being challenged. (That whole pesky “scientific evidence” thing.) Not only do ice baths not inhibit lactic acid, they may slow muscle recovery time.
You Fruit!
There’s a link between asthma and diet. Teens who maintain diets low in inflammation-fighting antioxidants, vitamins and Omega-3’s have significantly higher rates of asthma. Eating a diet rich in fruits, vegetables and fish helps nourish the lungs by providing vitamins C, E, and essential fatty acids.
Truckers Need Love
The majority of truckers are obese. Over half of them smoke. Few of them wear seatbelts. They chow road food and work long, mind-numbing, odd hours. The people who bring you your food, drink, and widgets have one of the most dangerous, unhealthy jobs on earth.
