Go Green, Have a Shave

2 billion disposable razors hit landfills every year. They’re almost entirely made of plastic. Big deal, right? Well, think about the fact that every single bit of plastic on Earth that has ever been created is still here, and will be for, oh, 10,000 more years, at least. That’s a long time. That’s older than the Earth, if you’re from Kansas. (I’m just kidding Kansas, I love you.)
The point is, ditch the disposables. Take it another step by using a Preserve Razor Recyclable.
Designed over the past two years with a team of graduates from Stanford, MIT, and RISD schools of design and engineering, the Preserve™ Razor Recyclable has a sleek new design that feels great in your hand and helps you shave comfortably.

or you could just use a cartridge razor. you get to keep the handle.

Or you could use an electric razor, as I have for many years. I favor rotary’s. Yes, it takes a bit getting used to. Also people who don’t like electrics tend not to know that a pre-lubricant helps tremendously. The latest versions can even shave in the shower, if that is what you like. Norelco is supposed to be coming out with a new design in July that works better on the neck area.

so what happens to all of the blade cartridges? seems like they will all wind up in a landfill.
…not that i don’t think it’s good that the handle can be recycled and repurposed and that it was made from recycled yogurt cups.
i bought one to try it out and it works as well as any other razor i’ve used, but i was already getting concerned about all of the cartridges i’ve been tossing.
