How to Trip with No LSD

Generally, I take a loose anti-drug stance. They’re bad for your body, but so is life in general, and they can do wonderful things for your mind. Right up until the point that they turn you into a murderous zombie, looking for your next fix. I’m not suggesting it would be a good thing for all of us to drop four tabs of purple haze and wander the desert. I just think we could all be a little less judgmental about the whole thing. Some people drink, some people do heroin in their eyes. BFD.

Anyway, you can have some of the fun, with none of the nasty brain damage, by visiting a website. I’m serious. It’s an optical illusion and it will blow your mind, man. Hell, try it while listening to ‘Sabbath at 78-speed, you might see god. Oh, and turn off the sound, unless ADD techno is your bag.

Neave Strobe (Flash link warning, albeit well-done flash. Photosensitive epileptics, skip this one.)

I remember first seeing this on Bill Nye the Science Guy when I was younger. Freaked me out!

Why even mention drugs in linking to this? Instead of a “loose anti-drug stance,” you seem to have a, “loose pro-drug stance.” Irresponsible. And this is a HEALTH blog? God, times have changed.

It’s more of a live and let live stance.

Oh, and this isn’t exactly a typical HEALTH blog. I’m interested in the way our bodies and minds work and exploring that, good and bad. Addiction is a powerful force in the human mind, therefore I’m interested.

I agree, drugs are a definite aspect of the human condition, and when observed, give great insight into the human mind.

all of you are probably completely ignorant about drugs and have no idea what you’re talking about. You can’t group all drugs into the same category

Just an FYI, LSD has been shown to cause no brain or body damage. The only study in which it has been demonstrated to cause cellular damage had petri-dish samples dosed w/ extreme amounts of acid, possibly their body weight or more. Under those same circumstances, caffeine and aspirin caused more damage.

Additionally, LSD is not physically addictive at all. Infact, myself and most users I know wait a couple weeks in between trips because of how fast your tolerance can ramp up. Personally I recommend LSD to the masses, it can be a real eye-opening experience
