What’s with peer pressure? Why do we cave in the face of facts, just to appease our fellow human? Solomon Asch also asked such questions. The difference between us and him is, he went and got some answers. And another person, also less lazy than us, had the good will to put the whole thing on Youtube, for our viewing pleasure.
So enjoy this video; everyone else is enjoying it.

Hoooold on there. Observe the true subject’s cheesy D’Artagnan moustache and colored piping on his hang ten shirt - tell tale signs of the easily manipulated stooge. Plus, he’s obviously hypnotized by the groovy paisley shirts of “subjects” 1-4. Couldn’t they find anybody with a spine in the mid-70s? Or was it just another case of scientists intentionally setting up an experiment to corroborate the hypothesis?

Hey! There’s nothing wrong with a cheesey D’Artagnan mustache. I pine for such machismo proudly displayed on my upper-lip. Much better than the “crust-ache” I’m currently capable of producing.
Joking aside, I would say the “extra cheese” look has to do with the fact that he was using students.
