Technolust: Montague Paratrooper Mountain Bike

I’ve never been much of a fan of folding bikes. (Disclaimer: I say this having never ridden one.) I think they look goofy and I always doubt their ability to A) handle the abuse my 200 pound body puts a bike through and B) provide a stable & comfortable ride with 12″ wheels.

And then I saw the Montague Paratrooper. It looks good, has full size wheels and is made to be abused. It’s also very reasonably priced. $650 is about what you’ll pay for any starter mountain bike unless you’re at Wal-Mart buying a bike, where you’ll get what you pay for, which is very little.
