The Army Goes Online

The Salvation Army is running a great online kettle program, one that doesn’t include any shrill bells! Anyone can sponsor a kettle. (Healthbolt’s is right here.) This money goes to buy food and toys for families that may not be able to afford them otherwise. Another great thing about this program is that any kid who asks for a bike and/or bike helmet is guaranteed to get one! Now that’s some thing I can stand behind!
I set the goal for my kettle at a modest $100. I’ll throw in $10 to get us going. Just think, you could help buy some kid a bike this holiday season! And it’s tax-deductible so you can keep a few dollars out of our politicians’ greedy little hands, which I’m always for.
I know I’m a little late getting started, but I’ll keep this link to my kettle over in the sidebar for the rest of the year. I’m sure we can come up with $90 more around here, so donate! It’s a tax break, and it might keep the karma police off your back on New Year’s Eve, and you’ll need all the help you can get, lush.
