Deadly “Orgasm Disease” Sweeping Asia
Or at least Asian pop-news…
According to this article (which is on the front page of Reddit at the moment) there is something called Persistent Arousal Syndrome. It is deadly and “some women” have reported having up to 300 orgasms a day.
This smells, er, fishy to me. Consider that one of their sources is…
Manga artist Akira Narita, who says he has slept with over 1,000 different women, says he has come across some he believes may have had PSAS.
So, if I say I’ve slept with over 1000 different women, does that make me a diagnostics expert when it comes to systems as complex as human sexual function and neurology? Doubtful… It probably just means I’m a ho, or a comic book artist (only in Japan does this guy get laid more than me.)
It’s a good read because everyone likes to read about sex since we’re thinking about it anyway. But this news story is kind of like cotton candy. The words are there on the page and if you think about them too much, they just melt away. Maybe it’s a poorly written story, or something was lost in translation, but it seems to me like this news coverage is firing blanks.
