Flickr Finding: Surreal European Photoset of 60’s & 70’s Pharma Ads

I love Flickr, and I love people who upload crazy stuff like this. The design on some these ads is jaw-dropping. These are much cooler than a photo of some person in a wheat field gazing into the camera…
Check out the high-res images after the jump.

Most of them are in spanish, which sucks, but they’re entertaining all the same.
I like the Kool-Aid guy in the middle.

Faboo! - I love the Rene Magritte-esque lemon head and is that cover bottom left styled after Eric Carle?
Why can’t we repeat the 60’s and 70’s???
I’d embrace a decade or two of peace, love, happiness and disco…

Melynda - Rene Magritte was a Belgian surrealist painter who most notable work was “The Son of Man” 1964 - or if you’ve seen the Thomas Crown Affair remake -The Faceless man in a bowler hat.
Eric Carle - is a famous illustrator of children’s books, most recognized for “The Very Hungry Catepillar” - who works in collage form with acrylics and tissue paper.
I could go on, but my Art/Design minor has about shot it’s geekiness.
