Easy Health Tip #1: Water yourself up every morning

I’m a fan of EASY to do health tips; not big on pain, but I’m huge on feeling good and it doesn’t get much easier than this:

When you get up in the morning, you can jump-start your metabolism for the day by making sure the first thing you do is drink a few gulps of icewater.

That’s it. Try it tomorrow morning and you’ll see what I mean. Put a bottle or glass of water in the fridge before you go to bed. (I just try to keep a bottle in there all the time.) When you get up, go straight to the fridge and make yourself take a few gulps. Then go on about your business. It only takes a few seconds and it the cold icewater forces your metabolism to get going quickly so you can start burning calories faster and feeling alert sooner.

It only takes seconds and doesn’t hurt at all. It also hydrates you right away, which is a good thing under all but the most extreme circumstances.
